Adopt Some LOVE

	CHECK BRENDON'S STORY <<Brendon was from a Miniature Pinscher Puppy Mill. His companion Reika, was from a mass hobby home breeder that was interbreeding relatives to make smaller dogs! Now liberated Brendon and Reika share their stories in hopes to end unregulated breeding in the USA! Please see their web page with videos and more photos! Reika and Brendon are a companion pair and both have special needs. Brendon had a dental cleaning and is currently on a low dose of heart medication for a heart murmur. His meds are $8 for a months’ supply. He is 6 years old and 9 pounds. He is shy of new people but will become playful as he trusts. Brendon is just coming into his own personality and will wiggle his little nubby tail for you, to share his joy! He LOVES squeaky toys that you will often find hidden in his favorite beds! In Foster care he has bonded with Reika a Chihuahua from a similar breeder situation. They are mostly always together except when Brendon is sunning himself during play and potty time outside. Reika is being treated to regulate her blood pressure and breathing. Her medication is about $23 for a two month supply. She loves to be in the human bed where she feels the most comfortable and shines her new found personality. She is more subdued than Brendon and is emerging every day. Because they were both crated in their breeding facilities they were not used to human touch in a positive way. For this reason they need a calm adult home willing to allow them to adjust to their new home and people. They both are on holistic dog food and though they may need extra medical attention they have so much love and life to share! Their adoption donation for the pair is $500. 	<< Yes I'm as active as my ears look! I'm only a 1 1/2 years old and I am afraid of new people. Sometimes I pee when I'm afraid and sometimes I show my teeth. Once I understand you love me I will continually show you my appreciation with long legged hugs and spontaneous kisses! My foster mom calls me a goof ball, I guess thats a good thing because she picks me up for some loven'! Sierra 1.5 years, Female, 18 pounds, Black & Tan, MinPin/Terrier. She is a very sweet girl. She can be very shy iitially but once you show her you aren't going to hurt her she is a true lovebug. She has the sweetest face and you can tell how much she loves your attention and that she most likely was never treated nicely. She has gotten more comfortable with herself and is doing much better when meeting new people, when she is able to approach the new people on her own terms. She will show teeth is she feels threatened. Again once she trusts you, it may take a few days, but then she is on you like LOVER GLUE! She will be a very loyal and loving baby girl. Catalina & sister Porcelana Hypoallergenic Porcelana came to us from a breeder that is closing down. She is shy but sweet and will come to you for attention. She likes to be on your lap and hide her head behind you do her face is covered and she doesn't say a peep. Porcelana is a 12 pound, four year old Havanese that needs to be adopted with her sister Catalina. Her adoption donation is $500 to go towards her vetting. Burt came to us from a shelter and just like all the rest we could not understand why this sweet boy was homeless. As Burt became more comfortable in his foster home he started to show possession of his bed towards the other dogs. We adopted him as an only dog and his life was wonderfully pampered and he showed mutual love. This went on for about several months till he got a skin rash and the adopters vet put him on Prednisone, a steroid, that is known to make people angry and it made Burt aggressive to his adopters only if they wanted to sit on the couch where he was. They tried to work with him but he was still on the Pred so he did not get better. Since he has been back in our care he has gone through detoxification, holistic and conventional vetting as well as formal obedience training. He is good now with the other foster dogs supervised, and his foster mom but we still would not put him with children. Burt needs a consistent, calm adult home with people willing to imply our knowledge and training techniques to help him adjust in his forever home. Hi is an 7-8 year old Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix about nine pounds thick, LOL! He is muscular. I was surrendered to animal control with my brother who was later adopted but I was left all alone there. Stolli, 1.5 years old, Rat Terrier, This is Stolli, he is a very handsome and loving boy. He is nervous around new people and will take a possessive stance to his owner. 	Hope was found on the street with a bite wound from another dog across her ribcage. She was left at Animal Control and no one claimed her. She is supper sweet calm and quiet. She loves her cat bed (shown on the photo) that gives her the den like effect. She is about 5-6 years old and 18 pounds. She is ready for your love and to be apart of your family. Dunkin was found as a stray in Texas with a growth hanging from is tummy that was literally like a ball and chain! A volunteer will Chihuahua Rescue & Transport posted this little guy on the Chitopia Meet Up message board and BAM, one of our volunteers posted him on FaceBook and then before we knew it an array of volunteers including Pilots & Paws, joined together to get this 4 pound 6year old, boy to us! Amazing! Please read his full story on his web page. He has been completely vetted with growth removed and dental cleaning. He is totally healthy and a lover boy for a calm adult home. He is an easy going boy that likes to go out and socialize but does not like a bunch of people in his face. He totally does not like children he will bark at them from several feet away. 	Leola, Lovie, Beauty Queen, is a 9 pound, 2 year old Miniature Pinscher Dachshund Mix that will stick to you like glue. LOL! She may take a little while to trust you but she comes around and then she leans into you for a hug. Since she is leery of new people she is looking for an adult home that is patient enough to help her build up her to confidence with people. She doesn’t bite but will bark if someone approaches her and shortly quiets down as she realizes they are safe. Leola is full of herself and likes to be told how wonderful she is. She even bats her eyelashes at you! Serious! Leola’s true loving personality in not instant so only apply if you are willing to take time to receive her love. 	<<Remi's parents had a sudden break up and his mom had to move quickly and left Remi with neighbors. The neighbors had several pets and could not keep him, but they said he gets along with cats. In foster care he is friendly and playful with the dogs his size. We think he is about 6 years old and 8 pounds. He gives strangers kisses and has an out going personality for a Chihuahua! Daisy formally Scooter Female Min-Pin. Daisy is all vetted now and is on a mild heart medication and arthritis inflammatory (under $15 every two months). Daisy has so much energy and love she would be a wonderful lap baby in someone’s life♥ She gets along with all the small dogs and prefers the calm ones. Daisy is 7pounds and 10 years old. 	<<Mackenzie the gentleman, came to us with manors and he understands some basic commands. He is way friendly and social. He walks closely with you on a leash and is eager to please! He is 3-4 years old and child friendly. Mackenzie is a Jack Russell Terrier with a calm personality. Zazie is a Maltese that came to us from a breeder. Zazie is 13 pounds and stands up on her back legs to wrap her front legs around your leg to say she loves you! She gives kisses and is content in your lap. She is playful with other dogs and loves the yard for potty and play time! She is better with women than men and would bebest with teenagers not small children. Zazie has received a dental cleaning with her spay and is all healthy for adoption. 	<<Davey (11lbs) and his brother Mickey (13lbs) are shy but warm up quickly when you give them wet food and put them in your bed! They know that’s special and they will give you kisses for it! They were previously wee-wee pad trained, and they are now potty trained to go outside. Their human mom passed away and we can tell they were a little neglected by their nails and such but healthy fur-babies nun the less. Davey is a 2year old black & Tan Chihuahua that wants to be where all the action is! He enjoys your attention and he will give kisses, but he does get uncertain while you are approaching him if he does not know & trust you. He appreciates slow gently moves and blankets! Yes! He like to fluff up the blankets and sleep on them rather than underneath. LOL! We are looking for adult homes for these Chihuahuas since they are timid. UPDATE: We have learned that the original birth date info given by the owners family was incorrect as the did not really know the dogs. So judging by their teeth and the way they have still grown in our care we feel that they are under two years old and possibly mixed with Miniature Pinschers. no small children
